ANATOMY LAB!!!!!!!

So on Friday (3/11/11) Wendy took me in the Anatomy lab where the professors had set up for a large animal anatomy exam. So all the animals or parts of animals that were on display were from some kind of hoofed farm animal (cows, pigs, sheep, goats, etc). It was really cool seeing all the body parts hanging up everywhere. I felt like I was in a slaughterhouse. While walking around I wasn't paying attention, I backed up and something hit me in the back of the head. I paused for a minute trying to keep from screaming like a little girl at the thought of a butchered cow leg hitting me in the head. But thankfully it was just a rope they use to hang stuff up with. While shooting, I noticed this little pirate sitting inside this animal part. I thought it was pretty funny! I hope y'all enjoy!

Last minute Macro Fun!

This is the last week of classes for Bio, Commercial, and Portrait students. So I wanted to get in some last minute macro fun just in case this was the last time I'd get to use any of the macro lens. The first picture is a dead frog. I'm not sure what happened to it but there were a few that looked like this. It's kinda strange but made for a good photo opportunity. It is at a 1:2 ratio shot with a 55mm lens. The second picture is a 1:1 ratio of Curt's nose. I changed the white balance on purpose to get this color. It was shot with my Nikon D60 and a 55mm lens.

Hipity Hopity Easters on it's way!!!!

Here comes Peter Cottontail hopping down the bunny trail. Hipity Hopity Easters on it's way! Actually the little bunny above is Sepia or Little Agnes Hops Alot, one of Dakota's baby bunnies that came and hung out with us on wednesday. I couldn't help but take a picture of it. Since Easter is just around the corner I thought I would get a macro shot of a Cadbury egg. I shot it with my Nikon D60 and a 55mm macro lens at a 1:2 ratio. The shot didn't turn
