Cell Phone Work

For our Object Lighting class, we have an assignment to shoot a cell phone. Well for my assignment I want to combine my Iphone with the image of an apple and the image of an eye. I shot this with my Nikon D60 digital camera with a 70-300mm lens. This is just a small taste, the finished product will be up soon!

Fall Day

On Sunday I spent most of the morning outside with my family and pets enjoying the nice weather. Like a good photographer should, I had my camera with me and was taking random snapshots of anything I could. I was using my Nikon D60 digital camera with a 18-55mm lens. I love taking pictures of my animals. Above is images of my dogs Angel and Oscar. Angel is usually a great model while Oscar on the other hand is a little more challenging to capture. I was also practicing shooting some outside portraits with my grandmother, Libby Kennedy. Thanx Nanny, you were a great model!

Portrait Partner 3

This week for our Portrait Partner Assignment we had to do more photoshop work than normal. We shot a normal shot of our partner directly facing the camera. We then took that image, split it in half and flipped it to the left and to the right. The middle image is the original normal shot.

Pen Tool Test

Today in our Digital Imaging class we had a performance test on the Pen Tool in Photoshop. For the test we had to use the pen tool to crop out the three different images above-a pear, a hat, and a man. We had to create a color montage with these three images and a fourth image provided. I feel pretty good about this test. I hope everyone else in the class did good on the test!

Chocolate

These are some images from my the shooting of my "Chocolate Assignment". We were suppose to photograph chocolate and relate it to the quote: “Researchers at the Institute Of Almost Natural Cures have found that eating chocolate in moderate amounts can reduce stress levels, lower blood pressure, help arterial walls remain pliable, and create a simple yet pleasurable euphoria that is beneficial for good mental health.”  I wanted to use the M&Ms to represent the stress and how they can crack and crumble under pressure. I had a great time doing this assignment. I microwaved the M&Ms to make them soft so it would be easier to crush them and make them have the appearance I was hoping for.

Maggie Valley Panoramic

This is a panoramic I shot for my Digital Imaging class. This is the Stompin Grounds in Maggie Valley, NC during the American Clogging Hall of Fame Nationals. I've really come to enjoy doing panoramas.
